Once the repairs were completed by the mold remediation company, it was time for Nickle and Dime Freddy to continue his remodeling.
One day, there was some heavy banging and thumping on the walls and pipes underneath the main bathroom in my unit.
Ok, this is common for NDF (Nickle and Dime Freddy).
Finally, I was able to use my bathroom again; granted there’s is a second bathroom in the unit, but what a hassle having to get used to a different bathroom after about 13 years…
After washing my hands in the main bathroom sink, I hear a dripping sound.
Apparently, someone (NDF) decided they needed to move pipes around to get their remodeling going.
Um, here’s a tip, DON’T BANG ON PIPES!!!
The idiot broke the pipe and drain underneath the sink in my main bathroom.
I told the neighbor downstairs who swore it wasn’t his contractor. I called the mold remediation company, they sent someone out who said someone had broken the pipes after they’d left.
YEAH, NO DUH!!!
The neighbor had NDF come up and fix the pipes. Actually, NDF sent one of his flunkies to do the fix – the moron used the same broken pipe with some putty or Super Glue to put it back together.
I tested the drain, still leaking and the workmanship was really shoddy. Now, as I’ve indicated earlier, I’m not a contractor or an expert in residential construction, but I am a Certified General Appraiser with almost 39 year’s experience and I can tell when an idiot has tried to fix something THE WRONG WAY!!!
I called the owner downstairs and sent him pictures of what the flunky did.
NDF come up and fixed the broken pipes himself.
Except for the putty/plaster, you can see that everything is dry.
The inside of the shower was dry, as was the area beneath the sink (there’s an old stain on the paint from before I moved in), even the interior of the wall adjacent the toilet is completely dry.
